Vacheron Constantin Malte Collection Redesigned to Celebrate Centennial of the Company

Renowned watchmaker Vacheron Constantin introduced their first ever watch to the market in the year 1912. The company, however, was formed much earlier in the year 1755. Vacheron Constantin has recently redesigned their popular Malte collection with the introduction of four new models. The Vacheron Constantin Malte models bear the Maltese cross, the famous emblem of Vacheron Constantin. The Maltese cross is internationally known as the symbol of dedication and sacrifice made by firefighters in order to protect others. Likewise, it also represents the dedication of Vacheron Constantin towards creating the finest range of timepieces.

Out of the four recently redesigned models of the Vacheron Constantin Malte, three have earned the Geneva Hallmark, thanks to their movements. The Malte Tourbillion has a special appeal due to the natural pairing of tonneaus and tourbillions. This is the largest of the four new creations in the Vacheron Constantin Malte collection with a 12.73 mm thick case and a size of 38x 48.2 mm case of pure gold. The caliber 2795 is hand wound and represents the centuries old tradition of Vacheron Constantin. The high class hand finishing of Vacheron Constantin is reflected by the tourbillion bar. The polishing and rounding of this bar requires approximately 11 hours of high skilled workmanship. The perfectly polished surface is achieved by rubbing the bar with wooden pegs, buffers, stones, and finishing stones.

The Malte Small Seconds has the same aesthetic charm as the Malte Tourbillion but has a slightly smaller size. Apart from the case, the hour markers are also made of pink gold. The three hand display is powered by 4400 AS manual winding caliber. The elegant looks of this model can be attributed to its brown alligator strap and pink gold buckle resembling a Maltese cross. The 100th Anniversary Edition of the Vacheron Constantin Malte is a limited edition timepiece capturing the elegance and purity of the earlier era. The manufacturers have created a strong vintage appeal with painted Roman numerals, and 950 platinum crafted cases. The hand wound 4400 caliber with a large barrel has nearly 65 hours of power reserve. The Malte Small Model is the last of four redesigned Vacheron Constantin Malte collection watches. The most noteworthy points about this model are its 1202 quartz movement and diamond studded bezel.
