Patek Philippe’s first split second chronograph originally sold in 1923. This week it sold at Sotheby’s for $2.9 million. This is the only know enamel dial split-second chronograph that was produced by Patek Philippe. The sale was double the pre-estimate predication. The watch was purchased for a Swiss museum.
