The official timekeeper for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia is Omega. Omega has been the official timekeeper for the Olympics for 26 years since 1932. To celebrate, Omega has created the Sochi Petrograd timepiece.

The design origin dates back to 1915 when an Omega with similar design elements was created for an important Russian leader. The watch has an 18 karat yellow gold tonneau shape case, 18 karat buckle and burgundy leather strap.  The dial has a white background with red and blue to symbolize the Russian flag.  The case back is engraved with the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic logo. The watch is limited to 100 pieces and houses Omega’s caliber 2202 with a co-axial escapement. Retail price of the Omega Sochi Petrograd is $18,600.
