Vacheron Constantin WatchOverseas is the name of an excellent collection of sports watches from Vacheron Constantin, one of the most reputed manufacturers of high end watches. The Vacheron Constantin Overseas was brought to the market for the first time in 1996. The initial version was much smaller compared to the present one that was released in 2004. The general aesthetic of the Overseas collection from Vacheron Constantin are somewhat similar to Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, Girard-Perregaux Laureato, and Patek Philippe Nautilus. All these popular line of sport watches are known for their integral bracelet and stainless steel case.

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas got a substantial makeover in the year 2004. A series of significant changes were made to the dial, case, and bracelet. The size of the watch was increased to 42 mm. The larger size offered a greater scope for the opulence and restrained elegance that has always been associated with Vacheron Constantin. The presently available watches from the Vacheron Constantin Overseas collection have a bracelet with sculptured links fashioned in Maltese cross motif and tapering bevels. This provides an amazing variation between different bands of light just like a jewel.

The original version of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas used Vacheron Cal. 1310 movement and has been now replaced by the new VC Cal. 1126/1. The movement of the watch is revealed when the antimagnetic inner case and case back is removed. The characteristic high standard of chronometric and visual refinement of Vacheron has been maintained carefully with its high quality automatic movement. The rotor has also been upgraded with a massive rim weight of 21 carat gold. This ensures high winding efficiency of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas. One unusual thing about the the watch is that the keyless works are not found on the side of dial but just below the barrel bridge. There are three wheels in the hand winding train. The automatic train gets disengaged when hand winding is done. This ensures that the wear and tear to both the components is low. The calendar works for instant date switching has two wheels on the side of the dial.

In spite of being an evolved form of its previous version, the present day Vacheron Constantin Overseas can be considered to be an entirely different watch. Now it offers a much sportier feel with more sophisticated   bracelet design, case, and movement. No wonder this is one of the most popular one amongst all high end sports watches at present.
